What being verified means on Healer Finder
Anyone can put the word "healer" on a profile. Nobody checks. The big platforms even say so, in the fine print: practitioners are independent and not vetted by us: trust your intuition.
We think looking for care shouldn't mean doing detective work, whether you're facing something hard or simply want to pause, reset, and unwind.
So we do it for you.
The four steps
1. Identity
Official ID. We confirm the person is who they say they are, and that the name shown here is their real name.
2. Training
Certifications, school, lineage, years of practice. We verify what can be verified, and we say plainly what can't.
Not every gift comes with a diploma. Some healers learned from a teacher or a lineage, some through years of their own practice, some through something they've carried since childhood. Where a modality, or a healer's own path, has no formal certification, we say so on the profile instead of inventing one. What matters to us is that it's true, not that it's stamped.
3. A human conversation
Someone on our team talks with every healer. On video, not by email. We talk about how they work, what they do when someone arrives in crisis, and how they know when a case isn't for them.
That last question tells us more than any certificate.
4. Evidence from real people
Here we don't take their word for it. We go to the people who have already sat across from them.
If they already have a practice: they give one free session to someone from our access list, and hand us a list of ten of their clients. We pick three at random and talk to them.
We ask for ten and choose the three ourselves for a simple reason: anyone can find three happy people.
If they're just starting out: they give three free sessions to three different people from our list. Three independent readings, not the same opinion three times.
The two paths

Provisional badge (Path B only): after the first approved session, the profile shows "Verified · under review." They have 90 days to complete the other two steps. If they don't, the badge falls off on its own. No one has to fight anyone to remove it.
We let the healer choose their path. Someone who already has a full practice and still chooses to give three sessions is telling you something about why they're here. That choice is free vetting.
Who evaluates
Not us. The people who sat across from them.
We don't ask whether the healer is technically good. That's not their job to know. We ask how they felt:
- Did you feel heard?
- Did you feel safe?
- Would you go back?
The people who receive free sessions know from the start that the healer is being verified, and that their answer counts. We never ask the healer for his clients' details: we give him a link, he shares it, and each person decides for themselves whether to take part.
What this badge does not mean
We'd rather be clear here than look good.
- It's not a guarantee of outcome. Nobody can promise you that, and anyone who does is someone to be wary of.
- It's not medical or psychiatric care. These therapies accompany; they don't replace treatment. If you're in treatment, stay in treatment.
- We don't verify the unverifiable. If a modality has no recognized certification, we say so instead of inventing a seal.
The line we don't cross: any healer who suggests someone stop their medication or medical treatment is removed from the platform immediately. No warning, no appeal.
How it's lost, and why it's free
The badge is dated, and it's reviewed every year. It's removed if:
- We receive consistent reports that someone felt unsafe
- The healer crosses the line above
- They stop responding to or following up with their clients
- The information on their profile stops being true
And here's the part that matters: verification is free. We don't sell it. That's exactly why we can take it away.
Other platforms charge for their badges, some as much as $895. A badge that cost money is nearly impossible to revoke, because revoking it means refunding the money and losing the customer. Ours costs nothing, so it costs us nothing to remove.
That's what makes it real.
